How do you make the sub forums???? And would you like to collaborate with my site?

The subforum hack was very easy to do, if you need help let me know.

I would love to collaborate with your site, drop me a PM here or email me at mike@carforums.net and we'll talk more.

Anyone else want to critique the forum? :)

Pretty good looking. I am not sure about the skin as it is just plain, to me.

That's what I was going for.....simple yet professional. I think it looks good, definitely not a cookie cutter design IMO.

First problem is that there are way too many forums for a forum with 125 members. It's not entirely necessary to make a new forum for every car make you can think of. It's just going overboard. Condense and expand as you get more activity.

Your header image is nice but the navbar kinda ruins it for me. Maybe if it was more graphical...

Otherwise, nice. :)

I have to agree. I have never seen so many forums on a new board in my life. No one is going to want to start a thread because they will wonder if anyone will see it.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.... however it seems to be doing fine as is. Each forum is getting more and more posts, remember the site is only 1 week old and we already have 125 members. That's not bad IMO...

As for the navbar being graphical, we are working on re-doing the top section to fit the logo. We'll hopefully have it done within a week or two. Right now we are focusing 100% on promotion and SEO :( the fun stuff lol

I'm sorry, but 125 members in a week doesn't justify the huge amount of forums you have. You can't be sure that trend will continue. This just might be the 'hype' period. Don't take it for granted.

The site is still coming along..... we had an amazing March/April (got over 100,000+ uniques each month) and then in May we saw a nice size drop off in traffic. I am working on fixing that, but so far so good.

16k members, 500k posts..... it's going great :)
