REQ: Subscribe to forum - NEW THREADS ONLY

REQ: Mod /hack that lets you receive notices of new threads only

I would like to see the option to subscribe to a forum, and be notified only when new threads are created. Currently it notifies you of every post. This would be very useful even here at vbulletin.org so that I could see if new programs have been added to vbulletin 3.5, for example.

Maybe I am missing this already existing option, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Background:
I have vBa installed and using one forum for the news, displayed on the mainpage.

When the users can subscribe to the "news-forum" they will get every "news" when it shows up. This is a cool way of having a new kind of a newsletter. And especially for the news-function the forum-subscription is a great extension.

I´ve already put a request in the vba-forums and I´m also willing to pay for that, so there is a good chance that it will happen. ;-)
