Category or Forum [Archive]

This is I suspect has a simple answer. My forum display categories and their sub forums, category produced by "Not" act as forum. How do I as per this forum display categories as forum headings rather than a category?

At the moment I have

Forum 1
Sub forum
Sub Forum
Category
Sub forum
Sub forum
Category
Sub forum

instead of

Forum 1
Sub forum

Forum 2
Sub forum
Sub forum

Ok will try I appear to have one single forum with categories and sub forums when I want these categories themselves to be forums ie a layout as show here on this site.

currently the forum table header Forum, Threads Views only appears above the first forum.

I think that must be a modification to the style, I can't see any other way to do it.
