SOLVED: Postbit problem :devious:

I really don't know where is the best place to ask this, I have some mods so I can't really ask at Vbulletin.com

I just upgraded to Vbulletin 3.5 and mods that have been updated to be compatible and have everything working, the only problem is that avatars don't show up in the forum post, they show up in my Vbadvanced portal and the members directory, but not the forum post. If I check properties in the different places, the ones in the forum point to the forum root instead of the customavatar directory. Avatar directory is set to 'customavatar' and './customavatar' and I have tried some other locations and variations as well. I am guessing that somewhere a path is set wrong, but I don't know where.

In addition doing an Internet search, it appears others have had this problem as well, but I have found no solutions posted. Thanks in advance for your time.

Best regards,

Russell Thomas

Can you let us know what it was that you changed in the postbit? I'm having the same problem since upgrading.

Trying to remember what solved that particular problem. I believe I just copied the Postbit and Postbit Legacy content from the fresh default template and the avatars would show. I ended up recreating my theme in a fresh new template to resolve other problems noticed after that, like thread tools not working. Just to fix the avatar problem, I believe the above took care of it. Hope that helps.

Thaaks for the reply.. I have gone back to 3.0.9 for the moment till I rebuild the template to suit 3.5.. I also need to wait for the web templates hack to be ported :D

Cheers.
