As default I use "Database (automatic forum marking)" as Thread/Forum Read Marking Type.
Some users want old system "Inactivity/Cookie Based".
Now I request an solution, members can select "Inactivity/Cookie Based" as an option. Any chance to integrate this?

I have been thinking of this for some time now, but didn't have time to look at it yet. Maybe in a few weeks if nobody else do before me.

Why would anyone want to use a system that doesn't work properly ?

The users want it.
We´ve everyday 1000-2000 new posts and my members don´t read all thread. If the users come back after 1-2 hours, they want see only new post in the last 1-2 hours.
It´s only an problem of the end-user.

Any news on this plug-in?

We are currently considering to upgrade to vB 3.5.x but I have read several complains from users of other 3.5-boards who want the inactivity-based system back. However, others love the new database-based system, so being able to offer a choice right after the upgrade would be great.. :)
