Is there something that can be done with newthread.php that would do a check in the hack release forums? Possibly an alert or are you sure page before a thread is submited and winds up on the front page.

My last suggestion to moderate threads there was met with something like "its too much work"

Thanks

Please everone PM Chris about this, he was hired for this (he was cheaper then writing a hack to put the alert).

btw, with the new Hacks Database, we're not supposed to see this back...

heh, marco is being mean to chris

Isn't there a conditional for forums ids? Ive never used them if they exist. Maybe just edit the template and have a 6 inch high red blinking text saying "THIS IS A HACK RELEASE FORUM! MAKE SURE YOU ARE POSTING A HACK! QUESTIONS/REQUESTS GO HERE..."

I think I suggested this a few weeks ago.. my suggestion involved a new New Thread button that said 'Release Modification' or similar. :)

Yup so when the hack database is finished we can fire him again.

Is this in relevance to the release or request forums?

If release forums, I have no control over what goes on there ;)

There was a discussion about a simple Hack that might be implemented when we upgrade and that IMHO could drastically cut down question Threads in Release Forums:
Reject Threads without attachments in those Forums.

I'd say most of them do, yes.
And even for those that don't it would be better to attach a TXT so users can keep it stored locally for reference, etc.

Anyway, that was just an idea :)
