Option to Join Usergroup during registration?

Does anyone know if there's an option to do this, or if there's a way to alter the template to do this?

What I want to do is on the Registration page (or add a new page afterwards) is add an option for a user to join a Public Usergroup. This way they don't have to find it in their UserCP.

Any ideas? Thanks.

You must alter the Template and you need (at least) a Plugin on Hook register_addmember_process

Kirby, you make that sound so easy. I've never coded a Plugin.

If its easy, would you be willing to do this? Or could you help me out?

That hack works. Just create a profile field for that usergroup and use that hack.
