mod's?

can someone tell me are the mod's are template base or would I have to edit some php files?

I just got my vb and I don't want to install mods just yet! when I was using phpbb I installed/un-installed soooooo many mods that I got bored of it.

If you go into the template forums, you'll have mods that do not edit any php files.

If you're running 3.5, "plugins" do not mod any php files.
