limit site to 18 and older

I'm wanting to change the sign up message that new users see when registering. I would like to add 18 and above only. So that they have to click saying they know the rules. I know they can lie, but I'd feel better if it was there.

Are there any hacks for enforing an age limit on your fourms?

I made one for 3.x.x forums just click on my name and look for the hack. kinda simple however.

I put the hack in place but it is not working. I did not have birthdate required, but changed that. Now the message says they don't have to enter a year. I entered a year making the user less than 18 and they were allowed in imediately ....didn't even have to click the link in an email - which is required for a user to complete registration. Could this hack have disabled that ....or did i screw up something else.

Use this (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=71538). It works with any 3.0.x site. Just make sure you include the optional section when you do it.
