Ebay Auction.....

I know there have been a few trys at getting an auction system for vB - I have been waiting and watching and all of them thus far have been huge failures.

I know I would be willing to pay for a good ebay style system for my site.. I am sure if someone wrote a good quality auction they could make some money for doing it.

Here is an ebay link - can this be done in VB - if yes I would think now would be a good time to start this project with 3.5 and the hooks and all?

I would like it just like the link below but I would like to use forum names for the catagories...

A rating system with comments about the sellers/buyers.. Incremental bidding where you put in your top bid and it bids for you up to that amount - just like ebay.. Timer for closing and starting an auction... a pay for it outright option...

Check out the link below... as close as you can make it to feel like ebay the better.. Users hate any kind of change and many are used to ebay...

I found where you can dl the code and it looks like it is free... It looks like it was made for phpbb forums... Maybe it can be ported to VB I don't know if you would need permission? This does work well and can be made to work and look just like Ebay....
