View Full Version : Working on a new style for iPodWizard.net
I'm trying to go for the clean, simple and vibrant look, but I don't want to go too simple or vibrant. Still need to do something cool in the header too.
Also something else that should be of note, I'm going to "experiment" with the layout a bit more when it comes to coding; try and get something a little more unique than standard vB.

I like it but I don't like the postbit_legacy. I use postbit. But it looks good to me. I'll look forward to when you get it up and running. ;)

I rather like the design very smooth and fits well with the look of an iPod. So yea I like it. (Now if I had an iPod >_>)

I'm a fan of legacy but I'll be giving the "new" style a look when it comes to coding.

Well that's kind of the point. When you update your sites style do you completely change everything?
And it's good to see people like it so far :).

I dunno, it looks poorly made if you ask me. The grey background and mix of colors you use doesn't create an ipod feeling for me. Also the fonts are bad and also don't compliment the feeling of a ipod. I think you should use plastic white and blue buttons, with a white background (similar to the apple.com website).
If I wanted to copy the Apple website I would have... but wheres the innovation in that? (I'm also not a great fan of it... bit boring aint it?).
Ah well, I understand what you mean but I don't agree. Don't you think being all white and plasticy is a bit :ermm: ... yeah. Color is fun, don't be afraid of it!
You think the fonts are bad? Which ones... I don't see whats wrong with tahoma and myriad apple (the one that is used in the iPod ads).
I do understand that it's a very simple design though, but that was the aim. Also, a white background would be blinding.

I <3 the homepage. It's smooth and flows well together. I also like the forum page too. I'm not sure about the thread view, it's unique, and I think I'd need to see a live demo of it to form an actual opinion. Other then that, Great Job!

You really think it's exactly the same? Wierd...
I agree most of the navigational elements are the same though, but why change something that works?
Good to see people liking it so far (with the exception of one) but is there anything you would do to it differently?

i never said you had to change it,
thats all u man.
im just saying, it looks exactly the same, but rounded.
and as you say 'why change something that works'
... if its working now, why are you remaking it with rounded edges?
I was talking about the navigational element when I said "why change something that works"... and the navigational bits are barely touched, but given a bit of a facelift.
The site works, but it's not as good as it could be. If all you see it as is the same but rounder edge's I guess I wont be too bothered; I see a large change.
EDIT: Just updated the concepts... Darker background... ain't to sure I like it though :/.
