ok I'm stuck - how do I code a hack to work with usergroups?

This has to do with usergroups and subscriptions. I don't understand how vb sorts permissions based on usergroups and subscriptions - any code advice, examples, or links to relevant information and threads will be appreciated!

Take a look at cache_permissions() and fetch_permissions()
