View Full Version : Need to Find Hack that Redirects Archive to Showthread

I need help finding a hack. I thought it seemed like a good idea, when clicking a thread name in the archive it sends you to the actual showthread page on the board. Well, my archive outperforms my regular pages by far with AdSense so I want to undo the hack. Only now I can't seem to find it.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Know where I can find it? Thanks!

That link is already there in the top.

Huh? I guess I didn't explain it well. When you're in the archive and looking at the list of threads clicking a thread title will take you to the actual thread on the board (not the archive).

That defeats the sole purpose of the archive, and would probably kill your SE rankings.

I'm not asking if it's beneficial or not. I'm trying to find the hack so that I can figure out how to uninstall it.

Just upload the original archive/index.php ?

Yeah, I think that's what I'll probably end up doing. The thought crossed my mind earlier. I'm at work now so I'll just do that when I get home.

Thanks for the help! :)

Still need help with this. Uploaded the original /archive/index.php and /archive/global.php and it's still doing it.

That looks like an Apache Mod-rewrite rule to me that is converting the urls.

Do you know how I would check for that?

Check for a file called .htaccess in your forumhome directory.
