Symbol characters in WYSIWYG reply

My members would like to have these symbols added to their WYSIWYG reply box: °, ¢, ©, ®, ™,½, ¼, ¾. Is there a way of adding these to the post reply box, where they can click on the symbol, and it's added to the text box like the smilies are added?

Why dont you just make those into images and add them as a smiley? :)

I thought of that, but it loads an image and the image doesn't really line up or keep the same text style as the post. I was hoping for a way to make clicking on the image input text code that symbol.
