This will add a banner to your forums so your CMPS so visitors can donate to the red cross to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Your help is needed now. There is no time to wait.

Create a new template called 'adv_portal_hurricane' (without the quotes), with this content:
<!-- HURRICANE BANNER -->
<td class="alt1" align="center">
<a href="https://redcrosssecure.org/arcno_org/?zone=donate&sid=&sid="><img src="$vboptions[bburl]/images/redcross.jpg" alt="Donate to the Red Cross to help Hurricane Victims" border =0>
</a>
</td>
<!-- HURRICANE BANNER -->
Upload the red cross banner to your forum/images directory

Go to your ADMIN CP- VBa CMPS -> ADD MODULE -> TEMPLATE -> and create a module with the following properties:

Module Title: Please Help Hurricane Victims
Column: Center (I designed the layout to go across the middle, but you can re-design it to fit in a sidebox if you want by changing the size of the photo)
Display Order: Your Choice
ACTIVE: YES
Template to include: adv_portal_hurricane (the 'adv_portal_' part is implied, so only enter 'hurricane' in the text box)
Use Module Shell Template: YES

Here is the banner, so people don't have to download the zip file if they don't want to. Of course you can substitute any banner to any aid organization, or link to that organization, that you want.

I also added another banner, which can be used in a sidebox (thanks to MotoUp)

The Red Cross (http://www.redcross.org/donate/donate.html), operation usa, (http://www.opusa.org/) Direct Relief (http://www.directrelief.org/sections/our_work/hurricane_katrina.html), America's Second Harvest (http://www.secondharvest.org/default2.asp) and many others are all working to help the victims.

Any way that you can help is needed/appreciated, and there is no time to wait.

You can donate directly to the New Orleans chapter of the America Red Cross by clicking HERE (https://redcrosssecure.org/arcno_org/?zone=donate&sid=&sid=)

There is no time to wait! Every day that passes without the needed help brings those people closer to danger/death! If you never donated to anything like this before, now is the time for social action! The federal/local governement is doing what they can, but it will not be enough - aid organizations such as Red Cross and the rest are already on the ground helping people directly, and they can do more with your help.

I put this up on my site, I had to change the size of it a bit to fit in the center with the left and right columns active too.

But it was messing it up big time, I ended up changing this:

<td class="alt1" align="center">

To this:
<table align="center" border="0" cellpadding="$stylevar[cellpadding]" cellspacing="$stylevar[cellspacing]" class="tborder" width="100%">

It fits in great now, not sure if has to do with the skin I'm using, but before it would stretch the center and the right column was all messed up. So I got that code from one of the other templates.

Thanks alot for putting this up.

Also I added some text for the "Internet challenged" so they know to click the banner heh. And added a border to one to make stand out from the white background.

I'll be looking to put this on my site, will this work with 3.0.7. though? Let me know, thank you!

Yes, my forums are 3.0.7. ;) That could be why I had to change the one code maybe?
