View Full Version : I want voters to be able to change their poll answers if the poll is still open

Hi,

I need to be able to let voters change their poll responses even after they submit their vote as long as the poll is still open. For example, in my organization I may post a poll asking people to verify their attendance at an event, similar to these options:

1. I will attend
2. I cannot attend
3. Unsure if I can attend

Let's say the poll opens and is set to be open for 14 days and a member answers the poll on the day it opens. However, 5 days later they need to change their answer. Currently, once a member responds to a poll they cannot alter that answer in anyway. If they go to the poll and try to vote again, it says "sorry you've already answered this poll" or something like that.
How can I get it to allow a member to make changes to their own responses as long as the poll is still open?

Is there a mod that allows this or any other changes to poll options?

Thanks!

PS: we are using 3.0.7

Thanks, It is currently set to Yes. Does that only allow thread rating changes or should it also allow poll changes?

sorry, I misread your question :(
that's what happens when I don't have coffee in the morning :)

You will have to hack the files to get this accomplished (pre 3.5).
