Guys, have patience, based on what I am seeing in testing, this will be final very soon. Great Job Zero..

My only question is this. new user to IBpro.. only way to get new games is to subscribe to there forums right? (ibproarcadegames.com) This isnt a problem, just want to make sure..

also got tons of games from v3. these things have to be converted to tar for me to use them correct?

NO you can manually add games like v3 games with just the correct parrameters of size background color etc, the gname is usually easy to find in the v3game install file aswell as other info like size, upload the swf and images to their appropriate dirs. No need to make tar files for them. Im not even sure if ibPro supports v3 install files but it might MrZ will have to confirm that ;)

Working on it, not changing them to tars but just installing straight from the zip :)

Yep ive got it working, i can succesfully import v3arcade games via php , im just going to integrate with the admincp now :)

just to confirm, yes you can use existing v3games..

sas stated before, upload the 2 gif images and swf to the proper locations. Then in the php file for the game. get the gname (title) game size, description. add game and boom, its done.

the v3arcade php files work in the new v3.5 arcade. John has them setup in the admincp to mass install.

Also i noteced when in the admin categories you have the display order
you cannot change them they are all set to number 1.

Both mods have there good points and mainly only good points. They are a similar mods and both will be supporting each others game product types, therefore its a perfectly valid part of the topic to discuss. Unless of course v3 author was trying to hijack an ibp arcade thread. I havnt seen that myself tho.

You know ill help all i can to get this working as i have some multiplayer games and pro games i would like to put on as this is a great addon to my site.
I can also make a licensed game up to try out too as i have a few of my own that uses the pnflashgames component.

Most of all though, don't slam Paul or anyone who posts actual information rather than yet another "oh God, I can't wait, when will it be released?" post.

All vBulletin-Administrators should have learned from the former v3arcade-"support" which qualities John brings along concerning support, updates, availability or just information about further development. He was absent from his project/site for weeks, posted one single post and faded away again, that was the main cause for the dead of v3arcade 1.0.3 when he closed the forum and thus the support and game-releases.

Anyway, this really is no topic for here, right !



Everyone should wait for both Arcade's to be finished and test them both, I think all of you will do their own RIGHT decision :)

I am glad to here that someone is working to have a games migration. Really that is a different subject.

However I came to the thread to read on development of Ibpro. Not trying to get into who is the best debate. That would be a different thread,

TCS, you clearly aren't too bright, so, I'll try to make this simple. In a thread discussing an upcoming release, the following are among the many subjects directly relevant:

1. The project itself.

2. The way in which the mod will integrate with other mods.

2. Other projects with similar aims.

For instance, in the thread discussing linking Calendar events with threads, it is directly relevant to mention a project that integrates RSVP functionality into Calendar events. Only a moron would complain that such a mention polluted the "purity" of the thread. Instead, seasoned users and developers would recognise that it helps to at least be aware of such things.

I`m persuming you must be a beta tester since you have access to the code he is using?

What ibp files would these be exactly? Not being funny but this guy is workin hard to try and re-create an excellent hack created by ibp hackers including yourself, I would have thought you would be happy that your coding is not going to waste and in fact being used..... Although if the naming has been changed I can understand your annoyance and it should be given credit to the original coders

I don't see any remarks being made on the recent exploit they have found in the mod (it involves index.php and the ability to extract the password for any member on the board by entering a sql query in the URL ending with user id).

I just commented that popup-code with // and wrote "by Zeropage" to make myself find that commentation later :)

It now is using the playfull() from ibproarcade-vb.com which is not done by me.
I just tested a modified script named "playpopup" and as this did not work the way I wanted it, I commented this out. This was just a "try in development" to make the popup-window close after finishing the game but I did not manage that yet.

No stealing or anything like that :) and please also keep in mind that there are several remarks in the code to help me find the places I need during the current development-phase, so don't take my internal marks and comments too serious ;) -> this is a dev-preview !

The only files that were complained about was the ones from /admincp to be original IPB-files, if there are others now appearing I will check this out and fix that matter...
Anyway in RC4 there is no more need of that "parser.php" so one file less - please provide me information about the two left (dbclass.php and functions.php) if they are original IPB-Files, as I can not find any of them in the IPB's I can look at (2.0.x and 1.1.x, sorry have no other version here) and there is no information within the files itself about being IPB-files



Anyway, RC4 will be spread within the next 30 minutes ... :cool:

Yes, Tournaments with 2 Players are somewhat the "challenge" from v3arcade, by now this can be initiated by any Arcade-Mod or an Administrator.

I understand what your saying, but some of use prefer static and having the option for static left-right is better than having 5 up and down on postbit as it takes up alot of space.

Yes was using V3 arcade skin much nicer fit for my site. When switched to IBPRO it works fine..

PHP5, now that you said that.. these v3 games I used on my old bbs, vb3.0 on php 4x.. so chances are they are useless..

Nah it doesnt have anything to do with php5 , The zip_open function that gives you the error has to be compiled into the php/apache core, When i wrote the installer i tested it on three machines with different hosting companies and assumed that most hosts did this by default, im currently working on a fix and should hopefully have something in the next couple of days, I'll forward it to MrZero when i have the fix so he can forward it on.

Them being on your old board wont make a difference as a zip file is a zip file regardless of php/vb version :)

I don't see any remarks being made on the recent exploit they have found in the mod (it involves index.php and the ability to extract the password for any member on the board by entering a sql query in the URL ending with user id).

Leagues is the Leaderboard.

You pre-determine how many points a member scores for achieving a highscore,you can dedicate points for (upto) the top 10 positions in each games highscore chart. For example 1st Place - 10 points, 2nd place - 9 points and so forth..

The points are then accumulated to give an overall arcade champion (based on total points scored) and individual category champions (the person wit the best average ranking in all your categories will be the overall arcade category champion).

Fix leagues lets you run an updater to make sure all the leagues are up-to-date (like a cron job) - and should be run regularly or if you have jus moved games from one category to another

I had a better Idea on this and I hope someone could make this add-on or what not. Let users join a team team XBOX, team Sony, Team Nintendo for my forum or whatever and let them compete against the other groups and have something in the postbit for those teams like a trophy for a week that they are on team X.

Ok. Well, I got more of them overnight and the urls were formed differently, so I added this to my .htaccess.

Hopefully that will hold me over until this is done. I also added union to the excluded from search list so that no one gets the error using search.

I have made a league addon and the next version im making i will be intergreating into the arcade if that helps anyone.
But sadly this is not going to be a quick make of a new league im trying to add alot more things than the vbleague has now.
Like team vs team and so on.
But this would be a addon to the arcade not part of it but that could be done in newer versions of the arcade if mrzero wants it to be.

I have close to 200 games in my arcade from there. I've also learned how to convert my own Flash Games using guides and tool suggestions from that site.

You got the highest score of all time in that game, this is stored as long as it gets beaten. The score itself seems to be pruned by the autoprune-function, so there is no "your highest score" as this data is not stored seperatly but gets queried from the scores stored in the DB.

Please check, I guess autopruning is activated and your score of 1736 is no more in the scores-DB


Just confirm or let me know this is another bug *anxious* ;)

You got the highest score of all time in that game, this is stored as long as it gets beaten. The score itself seems to be pruned by the autoprune-function, so there is no "your highest score" as this data is not stored seperatly but gets queried from the scores stored in the DB.

Please check, I guess autopruning is activated and your score of 1736 is no more in the scores-DB

Could you cange the tournaments so that the admin can make the tournaments
With out adding the players to it.
Then the players would have to click a signup button to enter that tournament.
As that would be the better way to have the tournaments to work.

Mr. Zero I PM you this, but whenever someone beats your Highscore it changes your PM popup window settings. I have DO NOT SHOW POPUP for new PM in my user preferences, but when someone beats my score. It changes it automatically.

Decompiling of a swf file is against copyrights and should not be done at all with out the authors concent.
With all pnflashgames none of them have been done this way as they only use the fla files for games.
And most of the games used are open source files.

Actually there are almost 2000 games for it now. I had over 1500 on my 3.0 install. And I am adding more games to my collection as I convert them or find already converted games. I won't put near that many on this version. More is not always better. ;)

So my advice is to make a clean, plain version of the arcade (which means NO addons/plugins...etc) just like a fresh install of the hack. Make a big-ass addon for all the features you've got in this current arcade version (as a plugin, of course). Other than that, it's great!

You may add this verification (amount of posts in ForumID xx) on your own, just extend the persmission-verification in /arcade/modules/mod_arcade.php in the authorize()-function

You'll see that in the public release :)

Not sure if this is the right section, but think this may get answered, I was installing IBP arcade 2.5.1 on my forums 3.5.1 as a tempory solution until this one comes out, and i see it works fine for a lot of people, but i get this error, any one know how to fix it.

I just fixed the last big problem, the display of custom Avatars in Filesystem.
Not everything about the Avatars is working well :)


I will now setup a fresh vBulletin 3.0.10 and 3.5.1 and install the GOLD-Version there to make an internal "final check"
After this I will just wait for some external input (v3arcade Mass-Installer, Style-Adaptions, PopUp-Play-Improvements, PNflashgames-Fix for PopUp-Play) and fix my last bug about some scores being cut off the decimal places.

This means by now --> THE RELEASE IS SOMEWHAT VERY CLOSE !!


Just to let you know, everything looks very good and I want to thank all of you for your patience - it will be worth it as you now can prepare your forum for ibProArcade 2.5.2+ :)
