I figured I should start contributing more lol.. 500 posts and not a single release :ermm:
Anyway, this will allow you to PM all users online via accessing the private.php with private.php?do=newpm&t=allonline. You can add a link to it wherever you want (ya it is that flexible lol)
As of 1.1.1: -minor bug fix
As of 1.1.0:
-You can now specify the usergroups to send to (online only of course) by adding &groups=X,Y,Z in the address bar.
-By default it will no longer include your name (but for all you lonely admins who want to PM yourself you can override this by adding &lonelyadmin=1 in the address bar.
I also attached a screenshot for those who understand things better when a picture is involved. (who doesn't like picture books?)

this is just great, as an alert for online members, but i would apply a permission over it, so not everyone can spam all online members.

It will only work for admins.

There's another hack for 3.0x that allows the Admin to select by usergroup as well. This would round that hack out rather nicely (as well as that hack rounding out this one). :)

I could make it into a product an add an option for usergroupsIDs. Not today though, stop ruining my moment. ;)

Hm, do you mean the users to send it to? or who has the ability to send?

Military term for a hotshot pilot. Sh*t Hot!
Ummm.. Where do we select the items for this? Looked in ACP under users and didn't see anything.

Is it possible to make an option that we can PM offline users too? It would be useful when we wish to send site news to all members.

Maybe rename this to PM functions, and have it work the same way it does now, with more options...
Something I will think about, but if yes overrules no, it won't be for a while.

No, I want to keep this one simple and all via the address bar. However, I wouldn't mind making it more generic and for PMing friends, all offline users, certain groups, etc. I think what you guys are looking for is
Zero Tolerance's Mass Admin PM (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=70223), maybe talk to him about porting it (or get his permission for someone else to).
I may take that suggestion and make it more generic, but before I do that I will be porting this for 3.0.x (for the guy who originally made the request, I made a boo-boo and made it for 3.5 :ermm: )

SirAdrian,
Nice Hack, however I am having some trouble getting it implemented. I am running 3.5.2 and some other users reported it working. I am testing it on some test forums that I have. I made a link that will send to all users, and the plugin installed with no errors or anything. When I click on the link - and write the subject of the message and text and click Send, but then it gives me an error message saying that no usernames were selected.
Any Ideas?
