Blue Darkness, this is my first shot at making my own theme. So don?t laugh! I was a phpbb guy for awhile. I could always get tons of good free themes. I miss that in the vB world so I thought I?d help out.

Some of the ideas are from http://www.tamparacing.com/ . I based the theme off of the default RC1 with some color changes and added some patterns. I upgraded my site to RC2 and saved the xml file from that (it's not based off the RC2 default theme). I am new at this so if anyone wants to help just let me know.

You can see it here. http://boostedmopar.com click around and you can see the banner changing on reloads.

It?s pretty easy to install. Just copy the darkness folder in to your http://yoursite.com/yourforums/images/ making http://yoursite.com/yourforums/images/darkness/. Then from style manager upload new style, upload the xml file from the zip file.

You will have to edit the banner_reload.php. Do a find/replace and replace yourdomain.com/yourforums with your information. upload that to your root forum folder. The banner_reload.php can be used to add or remove the amount of rotating banners.

Please test this on your test forum. I am not responsible if you hose up your site. You?ll have to make a couple of images to make this fit your site. In the zip file is the .PSD for the banner.

Can you post screenshots instead of linking to a live demo please? Just incase for any reason your site goes down.

I could add 3-4 scrolling text banners, do you think that would help?

Maybe a color combination that wasn't so hard on the eyes. Here, you reallt need this: http://design.geckotribe.com/colorwheel/

I think its easy on the eyes, Mabey your eyes are getting old?

Hey man the files are all there go ahead and make it better. Like I said this is my first theme build. Also what is your website and what do you think about the dark blue theme on this site?

The bright yellow doesn't go well, maybe try a toned down yellow? Otherwise, good effort. :)

As a normal user you won't see the bright yellow anyway. It's just the color used to mark moderated threads.

you have to edit the banner_reload.php file and put in links to your pictures.

If someone doesn't like it it is pretty easy to change. Orange looks good in there. The reason I went with that yellow is that it matches the yellow car in the banner. :nervous:

I need some help with this skin.. i love this skin it would be great for the guys on my site. but the banner is going back to his when you c click on it(the banner). is there way for it not to this or is this the way it suppose to be?

I changed the banner_reload.php to my site but its only the banner going to his site
