Subscription Help

I am trying to have something made that when people signup to my forum it forces them to pay a membership fee through the vb subscriptions area.

Can anyone help with this?

Simple:
- Don't give your Registered Users usergroup permission to any forum (or just a registration problem forum)
- The set up subscriptions, and let them promote people who pay to a new usergroup that does have permissions on the board.

I understand that. However their is no easy way for people to do it. you have to go into your cp and all that. no one will join my forum without paying so I want something made for it.

Well it would be a bit difficult. How to accept and registrate that a certain person is paying, if he is not registered yet (ie. don't have a user record). I am afraid you have a chicken and egg problem here)

That would be possible, but extreme difficult to make it work in a nice way. Just an example:
- Someone signs up, a new userprofile is added.
- He gets the page to subscribe and pay (what if he bails out now)
- He make a payment
- We are waiting for the response from the payment processor, this can take some time (what if he close the page now)
- What to do with profiles that never finish the payment cycle?

And probably a lot more

IB has the usergroup option in their admincp to force people to subscribe before they can see the forums, all they see is payment option page until they do pay.
