View Full Version : Easy way (variable) to display Current Time in vB?

is there a variable in vB to display the current time? can't figure out how to do it like it displays in the footer template (the time is now x).. i'd like to display the current time in other places.. how can i do it?

look in the footer template, get the time phrase and paste it wherever else you want

i just want the time itself though; not the The time now is part...

I suppose you could edit the phrase? and just add in tthe "The time now is" part into the footer template yourself

You'd have to edit the vbphrase to get rid of "the time is now" part.

an alternative:

vBulletin 3.5
global_start hook:
$time = vbdate($vbulletin->options['timeformat'], TIMENOW);
Then stick $time wherever you want it.

vBulletin 3.0.x
php_include_start template:
$time = vbdate($vboptions['timeformat'], TIMENOW);
Then stick $time wherever you want it.
