Hopefully he or someone else ports it, it's definately one of my favorite hacks :)

Don't think I'll have time to even peek at it for a few weeks :(

me 2 and all the members loved it too, because we have more then 200 smilies on our board. I hope that someone will port it for us.

I've just sent a pm to the original author asking for a port or to give permission for someone else to port it.
