This small template modification makes it so your users if they do not have an avatar, will have a default one.
If you are using HellSatans Avatars Per forums Addon please see this post (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=761643&postcount=3)

edit:
Is there anyway to make this work with hellsatan's Avatars Per Forum (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=93826&highlight=forum) Plugin?
When set to "do not display" it shows the default av.

I've just installed this mod.
My 'Avatars Enabled' is set to yes but when looking at forum threads instead of seeing a default avatar I see "username's Avatar" (where username is the person's username). What other settings do I need to check to see the default avatar?

Bug in this mod:
If a user selects No avatars in their options, it shows that goofy noavatar.gif thing. It should show nothing. Can we have an additional conditional in there to check for that?

Please can we have the ability to have no avatar shown if a user selects 'no avatars' in their options.
How about a link underneath a users own avatar when noavatar.gif is shown as an easy way for a user to set / upload their own avatar?

Yes. 2 features that would be nice.
There's no documentation for conditionals or where to even look for the correct conditionals to use, or I'd do it myself.

If I select No Avatars in my User Options, then that default avatar is shown on EVERY post.
Also, we'd love it if there could be a link under the default avatar so the user can change it. Obviously this would only apply to registered members, not guests.

Odd... the last posting I made to this thread has disappeared.
The problem I'm still having is that 'registered users' using Firefox always see the noavatar.gif image - Admins and people who aren't logged in can see the custom avatars just fine.
