View Full Version : Template Control Panel for 2.0 - Errors
DumbQuestion
02-22-2001, 10:26 PM
I posted this at the end of the last thread, but I a think it is getting lost because there are too many posts in there. So we are starting over here.
Kier, I installed this have into v2.0 and it works fine except for one error that appears at the top of each page. It is as follows:
Oops, php3_SetCookie called after header has been sent in ../ktemplate.php on line 46
What does this mean? How can I fix it?
I do have GZip enabled with a level of "1" compression.
This is explained in the first post of the other thread.
Well, I just re-read the other thread and do not see ANYTHING at all having to do with the error I am getting. I have fullfilled all the requirements necessary to make this hack work, but still do not see the problem.
Please explain to me where in the other thread it addresses this issue?
Wayne, is this what you were referring to?
19th Feb 2001 Additions:
The hack will now auto-select the last template you edited when you return to the list from submitting an edit, or adding a new custom template.
Cookie functions can be disabled for users who do not use output_buffering
Lots of minor bug fixes (this one actually works )
Please note: if you do not have output_buffering=On in your php.ini, you should comment out the '$usecookies' line at the top of ktemplate.php
Yep.. That is exactly what I was referring to.
And as I said in the other thread, once vB2 goes gold, I will make the necessary modifications to the code so that the cookie is set in the correct place in the script.
Until the control panel code is finalised, it's just not worth my time to go hacking it about to make that function work properly.
Kier....I noticed your Contraol Panel update is part of beta2. I uncommented it and it doesn't work...any ideas? Or should I go back to the original one assuming that what's in the template file is for future use....

You must have a very wierd version of beta 2 then... my code modifications aren't in beta 2 at all.
Oops....my bad....this is a file I was working on to incorporate your addon into the template.php file itself.... :) Damn...been working too hard.
I've just posted updated instructions to integrate the ktemplate.php modifications into beta2... use the link in my sig.
The link in your sig doesn't work....
Oops... I forgot that vB2 doesn't allow [ url=/file/on/this/server.php]links[/ url] any more...
Fixed now.
