Okay I have been into the vB thing for several years now with Transformers (robot car toys) and other various types of hobbies. I got out of the whole TF scene just dont do much for me these days, getting old I guess. :p

I do still have a strong interest in creating a forum community so I had to think of what could I create a community for that would hold my interest and be useful for other people. So I thought "hey why not create a web community for my local community!" ha ha

So I came up with www.CecilCountyX.com, I wanted to choose CecilCounty.com but it was already taken so I figured I would just add an X that would get attention and be easy enough to remember. Well the X gets attention alright but it causes more concern then anything else at first. I should have guessed that but didnt think about it, so to try and remedy that issue I got another domain and masked it to CCX and that domain name is www.CecilCountyCitizens.com. So both domains are one in the same, just have issues with some of the added hacks and such, they do not work with the mirrored domain.

Anyway I thought I could make some good use out of my vB for people in my area and so far so good. Granted the local paper hates me but that is more flattering then anything else.

I would really like to get some serious suggestions & comments as for things that could benifit the sites community; not trying to tweak out the style or anything, flashy is not what I am shooting for.

You've got a nice set up there.

I think you should dump both the default style and the "beautiful bride" style and work off of your own CCX duck avatar to create a totally new look for you site. The duck avatar has some nice colours in there which look very rustic and remind me of autumn, hunting and the countryside.

Just go into the CSS thingy and fool around with the colours in the headings and all that to take advantage of those nice blues and browns.

Dump the default style. Even if you just change the colour scheme, it'll make a difference.

You could also do with a little less forums, many of them have none/little posts in them, maybe you can merge them into other forums?
