Hide replies from guests

I need to know how to hide all replies from guests in specific forums. ( There is about 10 forums I wish to add this option too) I know there is hide hacks where you have to post to see but that is not what I want. It's a pain in the ass to users to reply for every post.

The reason for this is I want to use the thread started as a teaser. This should force people to signup to continue reading..

The reason for the way I want it done is because the biggest draw is the content in this situation. Like I said I want to have the thread started as a teaser. This will be one paragraph or so with the remainder being in the first reply. This way if they want to read the entire article they would have to signup. If they can already read the full content then they wouldn't need to signup so it would kind of defeat the purpose.

So how would I hide the first reply in every post in specific forums?

Sorry i understood your question wrong, thought you wanted to hide posts made by guests.

You could use a hide/lockdown hack and maybe modify it a bit.

Hmm thinking of it, you maybe can better do it with a conditional in your postbit template. Just check $post[postcount] < 2 and the usergroup.

That's what i need but do you think you could give me an example to work from? Not to sure how to do that. More like how and where. :o
