Queries in xml?

When you release a mod, what happens if you need to do an sql query? Is there a way to include that in the xml file to make it easier on users? Or do you just need to tell them to handle that manually?

Product XMLs can contain Install-/Uninstall Codes (PHP).
There you can run Queries.
