This has been requested for ages.
Is there any hacker out there that could make an external auth system for vBulletin capable of LDAP support. Anyone out there that could help me/alot of people out. :nervous:

Been waiting for something along these lines myself. Funny thing is the CMS I use, Joomla, is in the same boat. I have no idea why something like centralized login is asked for over and over and no one bothers. Give us LDAP or Radius or something.
I'm looking over some com_connector stuff now...but not sure this is going to be easy to maintain.

Verifying a user by LDAP is not that hard, I use it at work for internal php applications - but there are things that you need to think about - you would need to use SSL as your password has to be posted in plain text (as you need it to pass to the php ldap functions). You (obviously) need php with ldap support enabled - I doubt it is on most installations (and no, I'm not writing an ldap login for vb)
