Total Posts in Navbar

I am trying to get a users total posts to appear under the 'Welcome' in the navbar.

I am useing

$vbphrase[posts]: $post[posts]

Which is showing 'Posts:' but with no number after it. This seems to work in the postbit template but not the navbar template.

Any clues would be good.

have you tried using

$vbphrase[total_posts]: $userinfo[posts]

i don't know if this will work but give it a try...
