Flash is great for about the first few times you see it then it gets really boring really fast. ;)

true, true...but as a first impression for a new visitor how would you rate it?

Being dial up I close out flash pages right away, also I tend to keep flash uninstalled alot, so if a site has flash (some even full flash) I just close out.
Flash is nice and pretty at times, but to me it is forcing a person to dl another application that is a resource hog in most cases , not all but most.

It's nice as far as flash goes. Looks good. ;)
Since I was the first to repond, I get a free skin now, right? ;)

Ya know I was actually thinking about buying that skin, I love the flash navigation..but I believe it would be hard for some users to see.

Color wise? I really like the navigation as well...it's actually a separate flash component than the main header...was thinking about incorporating it into another lighter style with a different header.

And what happens when someone wants to add more links? ;)
Never did like fixed width.

true...perhaps a vertical rather than horizontal menu? Actually, I was thinking of making it dynamic so that changes could be loaded from an external HTML file negating the need for changing the flash source. The menu is pretty flexible and the purchase includes customization of the menu at no extra charge...but that is a good point Boofo!

To be honest, I think both versions are sweet. I especially like the flash navigation in the header.

Oooh, the way you've used flash is good. Sometimes it's just pointless on a page and just put there for effect that you don't need, but you've done it nicely. :)

I just went live with my flash site, it appears we are using the same source smacklan  I like it though and in general most people have flashplayer installed, what does worry me is the cpu hogging it does BUT as brochure ware for new visitors it rocks :)

yes...swishmax rocks! I like the dynamic pages too, makes it so much easier to make changes, although I have changed the source code quite a bit. I feel the same way about complete flash sites too...it makes a neat presentation but it's not very functional for everyday use or browsers or connection speed.

Yea, I would try to incorporate the navigation with a lighter skin, if it was me.
