Avatar display

On my VB 3.5 it just shows "Users Avatar" Where there avatar should be in the thread. Iv turned avatars on but it dont seem to be working,

Is there any modification needed to make them display as the old one did not need any mods

I saw this on vbulletin.com and the problem was that the person was using the legacy postbit template and didn't update it. There's a new variable that calls the avatar.
