Updating to RC/Gold - Best Practices?

How are you all managing your beta hacks with the new product release - are you leaving beta hacks in place as is, or undoing them and convertting them all to the new product format?

New product all the way, although releasing a plugin it took me extra time to make it non hacking but worth it in the long run, plus I have learned a bit more about plugins due to it.

So you are removing all of the custom phrases, settings, dB mods etc -- letting the product set them back up in the default and then changing any needed permissions/settings?

The 'few' I had in before I did remove all custom data that I had.

I only brought stock info into the new system, due to so many never port. Or do not have time, so I just would rather start clean when it comes to the hacks.
