Stay with 3.0.8 or get 3.5?

Seeing how little support I get from 3.0.8 Mods, should I upgrade to 3.5?
I have a problem with a Portal Mod https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=93681
and I can't seem to get much response and it seems that most of action is going on around 3.5. Should I get 3.5?

I would wait until 3.5 goes "final" before upgrading a board in a live environment.

You're right though, most coders are focusing their attention towards 3.5 now instead of supporting previous 3.0 code. The same thing happened when 3.0 was nearing it's final stages with 2.3.x modifications.
