Not sure what it is, but theres something not quite right with my forum. Something besides the logo that is, I am working on the logo issue. I would appreciate any feedback on the site and particularly if someone can put there finger on what it is that makes the site just not quite look right.

The forum is a forum for forum admins and owners to discuss promotion techniques and do signup / post exchanges. Exchanger Forum (http://www.exchangerforum.com)

Thanks in advance for any advice / opinions.

- I like what you have done with vbadvanced
- Layout= nice and clean
- I'm not a fan of the color scheme in which you chose, however, you made it look acceptable
- I would advsie a brighter color scheme (so it isn't so dull), like blue and orange, instead of blue and grey.

My first impression was your site seems very lively and busy so that would encourage me to join if I was interested in what your site was about.

I think it looks nice, but I have seen that skin quite alot.
Your portal does not look like all the other portals out there. Maybe you could remove the collaspible buttons on your news posts to futher enhance that feeling.

The only thing I didn't like was your left sidebar seems squished up against your forums. Perhaps try to increase the space just a little.

Nice job

I agree that a skin that is styled like that is pretty overused. The side table doesn't look nice either, it needs more "seperation" from the forumhome table. Other than that, you have the layout right though. I don't like the banner logo though, you could make it a bit bigger and wider to take up all that wasted space between it and the search option you have on the opposite side.

Thanks for the review, I am looking into the colour scheme, so I'll probably try a few diferent combinations and ask the members which they prefer. The logo will go eventually, I'm currently holding a competition so it will be replaced by the winning entry which hopefully will be a little better. Logos are just one thing I never quite got the hang of. I'll also experiment with the column spacing, and see if I can make it look a little better.

Eventually, I intend to put a full custom skin on the forum, I just don't seem to have the time spare to make one at the moment. That was just a replacement for the default skin.

That's understandable. :) I'd rather see a pre-made skin than the default skin on a forum, and if you plan to make one later down the track, that's good. :)
