After spending some time (since I'm not a coder this actually takes me a lot of time to do)changing my control panel link into a drop down menu and removing some of the links in the quick links drop down because of redundancy I thought of this hack.
In the admin cp include an area for navbar edits. Include the ability to add a normal link or a dropdown link, the ability to edit a current link/menu item, and to be able to assigne tcat, head, menu option, etc, the ability to create a 2nd row for the navbar (which there are several hacks for already) and any other cool feature to help customize/edit the navbar.
