where exactly is this all controlled ? can someone point me out all the coding that involves this so i can either remove it or move it or edit it

It's in your Administration Panel -> vBulletin Options

He asked where the code was, not where the option to turn it off/on was.

I believe it's a template under the 'postbit' category if I recall correctly. Either there or in showthread or in that category.
