What could make it better?

Most would advise you to start out with a very small number of forums and then add more once your membership grows and your board is more active.

An intro would be nice.
What's your site about?

its an entertainment forum, vids, pics, jokes, and the like. It would be hard to consolidate those into fewer forums... any ideas?

Also on your front page you have some images missing, in the navbar and footer

The skin is nice and I don't see much wrong with it, but it's too white to be "pimp". Looks like a company forum.

Didn't load very fast for me.
My advice - make your own custom skin, it adds individuality to your forums. :)

hmm needs a logo. Also checked out the front page portal and the left and right columns are a bit squished.

I fixed the portal columns (www.clanhop.com)

I already have an advertisement pic, not professional, not supposed to be. Whadya think? I'm still working on some ideas for the logo that will be at the top of each page.

Also noticed that the portal page should load up when going to clanhop.com/forums/ and not just the forums.
Why should the index of /forums point to the portal page?

Ahahaha I must have been half asleep when I wrote that :D Yeh its working as it should. For some reason I thought clanhop.com/forums/ was the homepage :o
I like the advert pic too. One other thing is the "HTML Code:" box is streching too far out to the right using Firefox 1.06, but appears fine in IE.

Yeah, I was wondering about that, how do you make a fixed width?
