Hack to not display forum on forumhome?

I thought I had seen this and maybe it was for a previous version, but I can't find anything related to it. I've done search after search trying to find it. I just want the ability to hide any forum on forumhome so it doesn't display. My main reason is I have a forum that has a bunch of subforums that I don't want to appear under the forum title and description.

Set displayorder to 0 or Active = No, then it will not appear.

I want it to be accessible, just not from the frontpage. I want it so if users want to see subforums, they have to enter the forum. How can I do this?
