Hellsatan Sig Hack

This is a hack i made just for hellsatan.

What does it do?

If you are like hellsatan, that loves having your name after each post, then this hack is for you.



Go to "Add New User Profile Field" in your ACP and add a Single-Line text box, with the "Max length of allowed user input" set at about 15. Then name it "Signature 2" or whatever you'd like.

Now Hit SAVE


Go to the "Profile Field Manager" and find the field ID of the field you made. (This appears under the "Name" column). It should show as fieldx where x is the ID.

Now go to your postbit template and look for this code

<div>$post[message]</div>
<!-- / message -->


After this add


<br> $post[fieldx]


Where x is the ID of the created profile field.


Hit save, and we're done!

Yeah, that is actually what I meant: the board admin puts his name in the postbit :)
And do not forget <h1></h1> tags :D

i did everything it says in the instalation and i wrote something in the field and it does't work. it doesnt show what i wrote in the field.
why is that?

yes, the profile field is the correct one. and my vB version is 3.0.7.

Are you sure that your profile was updated properly and that it's not simple the fotn that makes you nto able to see it?

yes, the profile has been updated properly. there is no font because i tried to select the text within a message posted by me and it doesn't appear anyway.

nevermind... i found it!
i had to modify the postbit_legacy template instead of postbit.

it's working now. thanks anyway

Good question, guess I was wrong. I didn't give myself Coder Status, and I assumed it was because it was based on post count.

You have released more hacks then I have so, now I have no idea why I have coder status and you don't.

But back to the subject, can someone explain to me what to do exactly to allow html in profile fields please?
