Display content of a post on forum index.

I wish to know whether it is possible to take the information from a single post (content, poster, title, date) and input this information into a table on the forum index.

I ask this because i'm intending putting an "Administrative Announcements" section there. If I can get the information from a post to display, I can let other admins and super-moderators edit it too.

Also, if this is possible with only template edits i'd be overjoyed.

Any help will be appreciated.
