Icon to die

I have createt new icon (flashing question mark) for urgent questions. I have a rele that this will be used only if member have a very urgent question in whatever forum...

But then I have a problem with old blinking QMs and I have to remove them manually.

Is there any way how to make this icon to die after certain time?
