Who's been online today

You know how on the bottom of the forum index it shows you who's online?
Well I wanted to know how to also list who has been on in the last 24 hours or that day.

I have seen this feature on other forums and am not sure how to get it to work on mine.

Any help would be appreciated it. Thanks
