Here's another new style I've been working on over the weekend - Full style that can be used as a fixed or fluid width theme. It includes a full set of buttons, status icons and smilies with it as well as the PSD I used for the header and it's associated font. Please feel free to let me know if you find any errors and I will fix them ASAP. Enjoy !!

Update 8/16/2005 Version 1.1
* Updated the style to vB 3.0.8 and modifed a couple of the images.

Hello,

I am very new here and have clicked on *install modification* since I do not see the install anywhere, however, it now says, uninstall. I have looked around the forum and do not see any information as to procedures and what steps to take next, regarding the installed mod. Please direct me to the thread that has instructions.

Thank you for the Green style, I do like it very much.

I must say that the above screenshots don't really do this skin justice. It looks much better in the flesh, very nice skin indeed. :D

Is there another section to ask this question? No one replied, so either I am posting improperly or am just too new? I'll be happy to read and learn, if someone would simply direct me, I simply don't seem to find any info on this.

Thanks

Read through this post - It pretty much sums up how to install a style:

If you still have more specific questions just ask and I'd be more than happy to assist you.

Thank You Andrew! As new as I am to this, with your instructions, I did get this installed and it's really really nice! Will go perfect with our theme and focus!

One question is how to take out the VBulletin (we do have the Branding license) and insert our logo? I would like to keep everything just the way it is, just changing to the logo. Is it possible to do this and have the choice of placing it either in the middle or to one side or the other? Can you direct me in this procedure?

Also do you have a website, I would be happy once open to post credits for this work and direct to a website it you like.

Thanks again for your help and for creating this style!

You can create your own header image using the PSD file I included in with the style (Just install the included font and edit it in Photoshop.)

I have MGI Photosuite, will that work? Oh and one other question, I see a smilies file outside of the xml file, should I upload those or are they included in the xml.

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm paying attention and learning :)

Thanks again

The contents of the Smilies and Icons folders should be uloaded to the "images/smilies" and images/icons" folders repectively.

As for the header I think you will need Photoshop to edit it - However if you can tell me the text you'd like in it I can make one for you tomorrow evening when I get home from work.

My apologiy for the delay in thanking you! Seems my computer needed some attention and... :ermm: Thank You Andrew, for your help.

I did purchase PhotoShop and figured out how to change the text. Working on a logo now, actually made one I like but, not really sure HOW I did it LOL Was just fooling around getting familiar.

Got the Smilies and all up too, thanks again.

Andrew do you expect to make this one work for 3.5 eventually? I haven't upgraded and will hold off, since I would like to keep this style. It doesn't change the Admin CP panel, did I miss a procedure or is that normal?

Take Care!

I do plan to migrate all of my styles to 3.5 but not until it becomes a stable release. As for the AdminCP that remains the same - You have to download seperate styles for the AdminCP and unfortunately I have not created any.

Sure.

Thank You, I did send a pm, were you able to receive it? I sent a pm to another person in the past which never got picked up so please let me know if it actually got to your inbox, please. Thanks

I uploaded the smilies, seems there are around 10 or so (approx) does this sound right. I did upload them in the admin cp.

Thanks again, this is a perfect style for our theme, once we open!

Interesting style. Are the images a combination of vB1 and vB2? The status icons on the FORUMHOME seem vB1-esque.

<font color="Yellow">I just wanted to inform everyone that I will no longer be actively supporting my 3.0.X styles. With the upcoming release of 3.5.0 Gold drawing increasingly near I am focusing my attention on converting my current styles to vB 3.5 as well as some new styles that are currently underway. If you find any major problems with any of my 3.0.X styles I will fix them as time permits but no new features will be added.</font>

Our members love this one. Andrew will you be upgrading this one to 3.5 as well? I am waiting to upgrade to VB3.5 after this one is ready.

Please let us know, as our members are comfy and at home with this style and I have found no problems at all with it.

Thanks

This style is indeed in the process of being reworked for vBulletin 3.5 - I hope to have it released sometime this weekend (Sunday would be my best guess.) Unless I get any more work from my regular clients that should be the case, but as always that date isn't set in stone.

Hi Andrew,

Have just installed your "Seeing Green" skin on my talkmini.com forum and must comment that it's a very nice skin which installed without any problems. Am sorting out the links in order to make them properly.

Keep up the excellent work :)

Why do simple plans lose the plot!

Once I followed the instructions the skin was installed with no problems whatsoever.

However, my plan for the upper menu links shown on the index page of talkmini.com hasn't gone to plan!!!

Andrew, or anyone else on here, do you know which option in the admin control panel in 3.0.7 controls the menu link settings.

Ought to mention that I know that the links on the index page are currently (for example) showing http://www.talkmini.com/register.php? instead of the correct link which is http://www.talkmini.com/mini_forum/register.php?

This is so frustrating!

Any help much appreciated.

You need to add the full URL for all of the links in the "navbar" template.

My question also, Andrew, is this one still on your list to upgrade for use with 3.5.2?

If you havent the time, could I have permission to make a post to request someone to upgrade it? As I PM'd you before, I will gladly pay for the work to upgrade, preferrably you, but anyone who has the time and ability, if you are unable at this time. I am needing to get on with my upgrade to 3.5.2, as I am still in 3.0.8. Please advise, thanks :)

It's one of the many things on my list to do over winter break. Finals start for me on Monday, so my time is extremely limited at the moment. My last final is a week from tomorrow, so most likely that will be the soonest I can get it converted (Should only take a couple of hours, so I could have it out Wednesday night.)

EDIT: Seeing Green has now been released for 3.5 - You can access it here:
