My site uses a black skin and whenever I try and use smilies, they give me that ugly "halo" of white pixels. Has anyone released smilies for use on a dark skin? I tried searching but no luck.

Are you using an tranparent background? If so it might have to do with dithering (not sure if that is what it is called) But if you have an image that you do not have a solid line around as if it faded out, then it shows that color around it. Which in this case would be white.

Post an image and I will let you know

If you use photoshop, use 'matte' and make it black. (shows up under quality and blur when you save for web)

This forum is not for requesting smilies, moving to... vB3 modification requests..

I'm not saying I'm making smilies... to go through and edit every smiley so it worked on my black background would take a while... I'm just wondering if anyone has actually released a set of smilies for use on a dark background.

Doing it the way I said wouldn't take more than 5 minutes. But anyways, here are some of mine:

I have dark blue and black backgrounds and most of them work just fine.
