BTW, you said you wanted to release a hack. Only modifications of the templates and other related items are posted here. All Code Hacks are to be released at www.vbulletin.org
I've seen many refering to template modifications as hacks here. Altho hack is a brod term, and 'hacking html' is the same has 'hacking php' your just hacking in a differnt language.
Anyway there seems to be a push to move away from the word hack, and refer to 'hacks' as modifications. The main reason for this is the media has put a bad lable on the words hack and hacker, and many public terminals with filters block places like vBulletin.org because of the use of the word hack in so many posts.

Yeah, I use the word "hack" for both. I know hacks go to vb.org, I go there often.

It can be very confusing, but it's generally 'hack' for the PHP mods and 'modification' for templates, and who knows why. The best way not to confuse most people is to use 'code modification' or 'template modification' Works for me, and as brad said, this is now commonly used around the vBulletin communities. :)
