I don't understand why I have to be a licensed user of vBulletin to simply view attachments here. I am planning on buying a full license for vBulletin but the fact that I can't view the work of the theme creators makes it very difficult to judge how customizable my prospective forums will be and if there is any themes that will be worthwhile for me to use.

idburns,
You are currently showing up as unlicensed. To be able to download modifications and/or receive support here at vBulletintemplates.com, we ask you to please click here (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/membersupport_priority.php) (vB-germany users click here (http://www.vbulletin-germany.com/members/forums.php)) and enter your email address, to show us that you are licensed.
You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive.
Thank you.

Your intentions are good, but other unlicensed users intentions are bad. We can't simply allow unlicensed users to view attachments, with the possibility of them being shared with other unlicensed users. The system is in place for a reason, to prevent unlicensed or warez users getting access to mods made by legitimate customers, for legitimate customers.
The risk is too high, put simply.

Thank you for formulating a helpful response and not just throwing some canned answer at me. I appreciate it. I guess I'll get to look at all the themes when I decide to migrate to vBulletin. :)

You won't be disappointed. Paid styles, that aren't too expensive, are done very well. Free ones are decent too.
