Category Hack

I was wondering if anyone know's a way to have categories only on main page but if you link to a category it will just show that category and its forums not all of the forums like it does now.

If you have numerous forums and/or categories, you may want to have a list of CATEGORIES ONLY when users first enter your BB. The individual forums, which normally appear first, would be hidden. Users would click on the category of choice to be taken to the list of forums within that category.


To link to specific categories use an url in this format:

http://vbulletin.com/forum/index.php?categoryid=2

(2 corresponds to the category you wish to display)

Well the way it is now if you link to a specific category, it still shows the other categories, with only the category you linked to being open showing the forums.

What I think he wants is effectively to make it appear he is running seperate vBulletin boards.
