This mod requires the Forums arranged in columns on forumhome (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=59958) by Xenon to be installed first.
Easy install. Just one template edit. Screenshots showing what it looks like on my skin and the default vB3 Gold skin are attached ;)
**If you use it, please click INSTALL (http://www.vbulletintemplates.com/mods/vborg_miscactions.php?do=installhack&threadid=5895)
EDIT: screenshot of what it looks like with 3 columns added. If using more than 3 columns on a fixed forum style, I suggest losing the descriptions or making them smaller.

Is this just for categories or all forums?

@Silverdawn
This is just a modification of the hack xenon made. It makes the descriptions look neater imo and centers the description and images. It is for forums and the number of columns can be changed via admincp. Please see the screenshots posted or visit my site in the sig for an example.

Hi,
Very nice mod. Installed without problems. Thanks! Just a little question, how did you make the rounded corners of the description box?

@cupertino
Some browsers show them squared, including moz browsers. It also depends on ur theme for XP if using IE. I'm using default XP theme and IE. I see rounded corners =D

Thanks for your reply, now it's clear, why I don't see it. Would be very nice, if someone can provide the code, to have rounded corners in all browsers and all platforms. Thanks in advance for any help.

This is a great mod, I might use it in the future, but currently I think it throws off the whole groove of the standard "boxes" for description and icons and stuff.
Great job, though, I've been fiddling with Xenon's mod myself, and it hasn't been a picnic.

thanks for this, lution.
much appreciated.
i changed it a bit so that Description is the title of the subforum (linked). i think it looks better that way... you can see what i mean here (http://hangout.buddhasbarandgrill.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7).
now if i could only figure out how to get rid of that damned table row (forum, last post, threads, posts) just under the category header. i've seen how to get rid of it if you are using columns on forumhome, but no one seems to be able to help with if you are using it in subforums that are then displayed on forumdisplay.
anyone here have any thoughts? i know it's just a conditional, and i thought
<if condition="$forum['subforumcolumns'] > 1">
this would work... but apparently it doesn't.

very nice, but you dont have to call it a "release" anymore :)I think I included this in the sticky rules thread, so that's why they include it.
Might get rid of it.
EDIT - It's not in my rules threads, so it must just be a habit of some people. :p

this would work... but apparently it doesn't.
I believe it's <if condition="$show['subforumcolumns'] > 1"> or <if condition="$vboptions['subforumcolumns'] > 1"> ... from the original vB.org thread ...

What happens if you have an odd amount of subforums? Will the odd forum be centered?
Also, as someone asked above, how can I add the last post, etc. information?
