lol, normally i wouldn't mind but i've got this image that fades into the background on my new layout on ie it's ugly :(

Use an if condition for browser and use IE's tranparency trick :)

Attached the png_alpha.php script (can't remember where I found it) ... that Faranth is talking about ... this script takes the hard work out of fixing IE's faulty rendering of PNG24 transparencies ...

another request for help with this, my logo is a png24 and i really want to display it on IE as well as Moz instead of dumming it down aesthetically for IE

take a look at mr nases releases, he released abit of code to make thigs transpernt in IE/Mozi it might help with what you want to do

i think you posted the wrong code, that's nothing to do with images :(
i don't need to do the transpancy on the image, it's more around the edges on this logo

that will make any peice of code use the DX opacity filter :) you should s6till give it a try

most of my style set uses them settings, so that's why i think it don't help as i'm not trying to mess with the opacity, but mor ethe transparency, heres the logo that i'm trying to get to work.

it sits on top of a gradient background so i can't even just matte it.
