Well, after I spent almost a year adding hacks to my base 2.3.x, I have been quietly paralleling the VB3 effort. Here is my beta attempt at redoing my default skin most of my community uses;

http://www.bitbendertest.com/vb30/index.php?s=&styleid=7

The buttons under the log are for when vbportal for vb3 is released, so they may/may not function at this time, they are more a placeholder and reminder to me. We may remove them all togehter, and use the pop down manager instead.

Be kind, as this style manager deal is really new/odd to me, and takes some getting used to over 2.3.x. But overall, I'm seeing I actaully have more control, and flexibility.

I appreciate any comments. I know that some of the hacks that my community use will be sorely missed, but at the same time, more than 80% of the ones they use most are now built-in, in one form, or another.

Thanks In advance for any feedback you might have.

Best Regards

that header is huge... and personally, i'm not that crazy about the buttons.
just my opinion though.

you should try shrinking the width of the forum a little, instead of having it going to the very edges... just looks a little better to have a little breathing room on the sides... try setting it to 90% instead of 100%.
just a suggestion.

Not a bad idea. Breathing room. Hand't heard that 1 b4 :) . I expect that we will elongate that header to be more flat, and inderface more seamlessly with the nav/pop down bar. I too think it's a big huge given the improved layout on forumhome. In our 2.3 the welcome box is there, so the header isn't so out of porportion.

Cheers, and thanks for responding.

The header and top buttons take up half the screen on 1024x768. I can't imagine what it'd be like for 800x600 users.

i agree with the comments on the header, and the buttons are hard to read
